Predictions 2009
With the new year comes a new set of predictions. In 2009 what can we look forward too? With the econamy players have been finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow may not be as big as it once was. Pat Burrell signing for 2 years at 16.5 mill. May have seemed like the apocolypes has come earlier than 2012 to some agents. Some teams are rebuiling some or selling off and others believe they have a chance. But when the dust settles what can you the average baseball fan expect?
- Marlins will take a step forward and be a wild card team.
- Mariners will have a fire sale on anyone that looks good enough to get some sort of young talent. The Exception wil be Ichiro.
- The big story will be the young pitchers who show there metal all year and make this year and last remind us of the 85-86 seasons.
- The AL Rookie of the year will be Elvis Andrus SS Tex
- The NL Rookie of the year will be Pedro Alvarez 3B Pit
- AL Cy Young will be C.C. Sabathia SP NYY
- NL Cy Young will be Johan Santana SP Min
- AL MVP will be Evan Longoria 3B T.B.
- NL MVP will be Manny Ramirez OF LAD
